Entering the Global Market

TradeWizards.com

What is it?

This website helps businesses sort through the rules and regulations that can complicate international shipping.

How does it work?

Tradewizards.com helps you properly classify your product, a necessary step for figuring out duties, taxes, and fees; along with determining applicable import and export regulations. The site can also calculate an accurate “landed cost”—the cost of your product plus duties, taxes, and fees from different countries—which is vital when deciding where to import from, or to determine cost estimates for foreign buyers. The site also identifies restricted parties (individuals or businesses it’s illegal to do business with), enabling you to avoid fines and the loss of export privileges. The basic version, with access to 40 restricted parties, is free. The extended version, with access to more than 200 restricted parties, an unlimited number of users, and customer support is available starting at $2,000 for the year.
